Fair Team Maker is an online team generator for coaches, teachers, facilitators, and pickup games. Enter one person per line, choose how many teams you want or a target team size, then review membership before copying or printing. You can reroll everyone or reroll one team while keeping others fixed. Assignment is a random split of names only—it does not balance skill, rank, accessibility needs, or preferences.

How it works

1. Enter one name per line for everyone who should be assigned.
2. Choose either a number of teams or a desired team size—the tool calculates the layout.
3. Generate teams, reroll everyone, or reroll just one team while keeping others fixed.
4. Copy or print the results for captains, coaches, or classroom boards.

Examples

• Pickup game: Enter 11 players and choose three teams to see the 4 / 4 / 3 split warning.
• Workshop groups: Choose a target size of four, then print the groups for table signs.
• Pairs: Use the pair generator mini-tool when you need partners instead of larger teams.

Limitations

• Teams are random by name only; the tool does not balance skill, chemistry, or personal constraints.
• There is no lock-participant feature beyond rerolling one team while leaving others unchanged.
